About Us

The 6th Annual Katonah Classic Stage Film Festival welcomes you to the picturesque town of Bedford, NY, the arts hub of Northern Westchester County and only an hour north of NYC!
KCSFF began as a place to screen short films, in person, when the Covid pandemic prevented nearly all public gatherings. Partnering with Bedford Playhouse, we created an outdoor experience for audiences that kept cinema alive while keeping the public safe. Since then KCSFF has grown to become the go-to festival for the region, catering to filmmakers and audiences of all ages.
We now present films both outdoors under the stars and indoors in a state-of-the-art cinema. We accept short films from all over the globe and from any genre. This year we have expanded our short film categories to accommodate our growing kaleidoscope of submissions. These categories are Narrative Drama, Narrative Comedy, Documentary, Animation, Made in Westchester County, NY, and Student.

More Than a Movie Theater
The Bedford Playhouse is a vibrant, state-of-the-art cinema, cultural center, and community hub in the heart of Bedford Village. Thanks to the generous support of the community, it has been modernized to offer outstanding films, live performances, and educational programs for all ages.
With a rich history dating back to 1947, the Playhouse has evolved into an oasis for arts and entertainment, featuring a 37-ft. screen with Dolby Atmos sound, intimate theater spaces, and a welcoming café and bar. As a nonprofit, it thrives on memberships, donations, and partnerships, bringing unique programming and thought-provoking events to the region.
